The terms "We", "Us", or "Our" in this agreement refer to the development team of Bytehug Technologies.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how Dot: Focus Timer, Habit Maker (the "App") handles information collected from users.

Information We Collect

Dot is designed to be a private space for your productivity, deep work, and habits. We may collect the following information to provide and improve the App's features:

• Account Information: Name and email address (used if you create an account for authentication, cross-device sync, or premium features).
• User Content: Focus session categories, target durations, habit names, and emojis
• Activity Data: Focus duration logs, completion timestamps, dynamic time differentials, and streak records necessary to generate your 52-week grid heatmaps and productivity insights.

Data Storage & Cloud Backup

By default, your focus sessions, habit logs, and configurations are stored locally on your device. If you use our Premium backup and sync features, your data is stored securely on our cloud storage infrastructure (Cloudflare R2) to allow seamless data recovery.

Third-Party Services

The App may integrate trusted third-party service providers to handle backend infrastructure, authentication, and performance monitoring:

• Authentication & Infrastructure: Google Firebase for secure user login, cloud database management, and configuration sync.
• Payments: Google Play Billing for processing Premium tier subscriptions. We do not store or have access to your credit card or financial details.
• Analytics & Performance: Basic crash reporting (such as Firebase Crashlytics) and anonymous usage analytics to help us diagnose.

Premium Subscriptions

All financial transactions and billing for Premium memberships are handled exclusively by Google Play. Your payment information is processed securely by Google according to their respective privacy standards, and we do not collect or store your payment method details.

Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data and productivity history. While we use industry-standard encryption for cloud backups, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We highly recommend using device-level security (PIN, password, or biometric lock) to safeguard your local data.

Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We only disclose information under the following limited circumstances:

• When required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or a valid legal process.
• To protect our legal rights, property, user safety, or the integrity of the App.
• At your explicit request (e.g., if future updates allow you to manually export or share your productivity heatmaps and stats).

Children’s Privacy

The App is a general audience productivity tool and is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately so we can take steps to delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your privacy.
